Privacy Policy
How MAT Pakistan (Mazloom Awami Tehreek) collects, uses and protects your information on matpk.org. Version 2026-10-11.
1. What we collect
- Identity: full name (and optional Urdu name), father's/husband's name, CNIC, date of birth, gender.
- Contact: mobile number and email address.
- Location: your province, district, tehsil and (optionally) union council / ward — used to place you in the right party unit.
- Voter details (optional): the information from your ECP 8300 SMS (block code, serial number, council, polling station).
- Optional profile details: profile photo, blood group, interest in volunteering.
- Activity on the platform: who invited you (referrals), events you checked in to, blood requests and donation offers, community posts and comments, messages, and posts you hold in the party.
- Technical: a login session on your device, push-notification subscriptions you turn on, and basic security logs (such as the IP address of sign-ins and admin actions).
2. Why we use it
- To create and verify your membership and issue your digital membership card.
- To organise the party by area (province → district → tehsil → UC → ward) and connect you with your local officials.
- To send you announcements, event updates and urgent blood SOS alerts for your district.
- To recognise contributions (referral leaderboard, attendance, blood donations, badges).
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
3. Who can see your information
- Other members see only your public profile card: name, photo, party post, district, member-since date, member ID, badges and counts (members invited, events attended, donations). Never your CNIC, phone, email, address, guardian name or blood group.
- Authorised managers only: holding a party post does not by itself give access to anyone's details. Only people the party office has personally approved can see members' details (including phone numbers), and only for the area they were approved for. Approvals can expire and are removed when no longer needed, and every action they take is recorded.
- Blood SOS: if you post or offer help on a blood request, the requester and the district head can see your name, blood group and phone number so they can contact you.
- Public verification page: anyone scanning your card's QR code sees only your name, member ID and whether your membership is active.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
4. How we protect it
- All traffic to matpk.org is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes — nobody, including administrators, can read your password.
- Administrative access is limited by area and every sensitive admin action is recorded in an audit log.
- Database backups are taken daily; off-site copies are encrypted.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while your membership is active. If your account is deleted, we remove your personal details (name, CNIC, phone, email, photo, address, voter details, blood group) and keep only anonymous records needed for the party's history and statistics (for example, that "a deleted member" attended an event). Removed information may remain in encrypted backups for up to 14 days before those backups are replaced.
6. Your choices and rights
- Correct your details any time in the app: Profile → Edit.
- Download your data: Profile → Privacy → “Download my data”.
- Delete your account: Profile → Privacy → “Delete my account”. The party office reviews and completes the request.
- Notifications: turn device notifications on or off in your Profile.
7. Children
Membership is intended for adults. Please do not register on behalf of anyone under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the version date above and tell members in the app.
